ALBOTHYL VAGINAL GEL 40 GM is a vaginal gel that contains polycresulene as the active ingredient. It is used to treat various vaginal infections and inflammations such as bacterial vaginosis, trichomoniasis, candidiasis, cervicitis, and vaginitis. It works by releasing formaldehyde, which has antiseptic and astringent properties. It also helps restore the normal pH and flora of the vagina. The usual dosage is one applicator (5 g) of gel inserted into the vagina once daily for 6 days. The gel should be used at bedtime and the applicator should be washed after each use1516
