تحتوي القارورة على سيفوتاكسيم 1 جم (سيفالوسبورين الجيل الثالث) المستخدم لعلاج بكتيريا الدم / تسمم الدم، والتهابات العظام أو المفاصل البكتيرية، والتهابات الجهاز العصبي المركزي البكتيرية، والتهابات المسالك البولية التناسلية، والتهابات أمراض النساء البكتيرية، والتهابات البطن البكتيرية، والتهابات الجهاز التنفسي السفلي البكتيرية. يقلل من حدوث بعض أنواع العدوى لدى المرضى الذين يخضعون لإجراءات جراحية. الاستخدام: مستحضر عضلي: * قارورة 500 مجم >> أعد تكوينها مع 2 مل من الماء المعقم للحقن أو ليدوكايين 1٪. * قارورة 1 جم >> أعد تكوينها مع 3 مل من الماء المعقم للحقن أو ليدوكايين 1٪. * قارورة 2 جم >> أعد تكوينها مع 5 مل من الماء المعقم للحقن أو ليدوكايين 1٪. ملاحظة: المحلول المعاد تكوينه مستقر لمدة 12 إلى 24 ساعة عند تبريده. طريقة الاستخدام: وريديًا: التحضير: قارورة مُعاد تكوينها مع ≥ 10 مل من الماء المعقم للحقن. *رجّها جيدًا حتى تذوب. يمكن تخفيفها حتى 1000 مل بمحلول ملحي عادي، أو دكستروز 5%، أو دكستروز 10%، أو رينجر لاكتاتي. ملاحظة: يبقى المحلول المُعاد تكوينه في محلول ملحي عادي ثابتًا لمدة 24 ساعة في درجة حرارة الغرفة، ولمدة 5 أيام عند التبريد.
